Advantages: Easy to sign up, Easy to order rewards on-line, Good voucher rewards
Disadvantages: Got to buy alot of fuel
I joined Shell Plus Points program about a year ago and I can only sing its praises. Shell Plus Points allows the card holder to collect one point for every litre of fuel purchased. It also occassionly runs special offers for instance double points on all Shell Optimax petrol. You can also link a Shell Visa card to your account to gain extra points on your spending. You can manage your account on-line (very easy) and also place orders on-line. The card also comes with a free phone helpline to assist with any problems. You can exchange 1500 points for one of four rewards: 1. Exchange for 1x £10 Shell voucher which you can use against fuel. 2. Exchange for 1x shopping voucher (Next, Debenhams, Woolworths etc). 3. Exchange for Airmiles 4. Donate £10 to charity Now you ask yourself whats the catch? Well as you will have worked out if you just collect points against normal fuel you need to buy 1500 litres to get £10. There are better exchange rates on other loyalty cards, but as I say if you are buying fuel anyway why not collect sumthing at the same time. Also there is no time limit on accumulated points. So rather than a catch I see it rather as a why not if your doing it anyway!!! Check out the Shell website for more details.

Muzza - 02/08/04 You accumulating points at the petrol station whenever you buy fuel. You can exchange these points online for a £10 Shell voucher which is redemable against fuel back at the petrol station. Hope that helps. |
