Not being a great fan of credit or debit cards, when approached by my bank and asked if I would like one I opted for the SOLO , thinking of it`s advantages mainly being the ability to purchase goods without the need for a trip to the cash point! However there has been numerous occasions when my card has been declined simply because the store or shop or whatever did not accept SOLO. I have one incident in particular that really took the biscuit! My wife and I shop at Tesco both in store and online using my Solo (no problem) I also insure my car through Tesco paid monthly with my Solo (no problem) but very recently I appied online to have Tesco.net has my ISP, got 3/4 the way through the form, "PLEASE ENTER CREDIT/DEBIT CARD DETAILS" so I did! "SORRY WE DO NOT ACCEPT SOLO" the best of it is they did not require any money to be taken from the card they merely wanted to validate my identity! I`ve had similar problems with other online payments.

I suppose what I am getting at is as well as carrying a SOLO card in your wallet/purse be sure you have plenty cash as SOLO can not be relied upon!
