I researched this card because I am a fan of sony products, and I was thinking of getting a visa card that would be accepted in places that do not take my BA amex. This should have ment that I was ready to be impressed and I suppose that I was, but unfortunately this offer leaves me cold. I will tell you why.

Sony offer one point for every pound that there customers spend using this card. This point is equivilent to a penny of Sony products. This seems at first sight to mean that we can earn 1% of our annual spend in Sony products. Unfortunately this is not the case because the Sony products all seem to be at there recomended retail prices or very near them and it is very easy to get discounts on electrical goods.

One nice touch is offering triple points on purchaces of Sony goods. This can be done even if they were not bought in a Sony shop (provided you are willing to fill in some forms.) Unfortunately this does not make this credit card worthwhile.

My suggestion would be to buy the goods over the internet or (if you prefer advice) at John Lewis. This will guarantee you the lowest price and get you a free extended warantee too.

Summary:
