Advantages: free gifts, check your balance on the net
Disadvantages: shortish time to pay them back
You just want to know the free gifts don't you? :) Well I will give you those in a minute. Like everything the credit card application came through the door as junk mail. I opened it because its Sony and I believe that Sony are a fantastic company and I own many of there products. I don't bother reading the APR because I never have a problem with paying it off...plus this card will be a backup for my main one. Double check to see if you have to pay anything for using the card and the answer is NO! Sent the form off..about a week later got a phone call at work confirming the details about within another week I had the card. When you sign up you get 2000 free points. You basicly earn 1 point per pound you spend. The cheapest item is a CD which is worth 1300 points, DVD is about 2000 and a PS2 game is 4000. If you want one of there walking robot dogs your need to spend about £225,000! The selection is quite big to choose from and each month with your statement you get an updated brochure of new things. Thats it really! Erm...the only problem is that between the time the bill is printed and the time they want paying is 20 days. My first bill was late and I only had about 5 days to get my bill in and the money cleared! Lucky..very lucky but I did it. I am more than happy with it. No charges for not using it...free points = free gifts.

- 19/03/02 The APR on the SonyCard is:
2.9% For the first five months.
15.9% After the five months variable.
Another thing that could have been included would have been ?is your Sony card manageable through online-banking??.

- 19/03/02 A good op but is there an expiry date of the point-scheme, if so when this is always an important comment to incorporate into your opinion. And please state the APR it is vital that people know the APR. |
