Advantages: none
Disadvantages: see above
I am deeply concerned. An ISP (Gio internet) has been debiting my switch card at the end of the last two months even although I cancelled with them. I have been assured twice by the ISP that my account has been cancelled. I went into my bank (Bank of Scotland) & asked for the payments to be stopped. To my horror I was told that they could not do so as I did not have a direct debit or standing order with the ISP They were just reusing my card No. & it was my problem not the banks. I was also told changing my card would be of no help as the ISP would be able to access my new card. What options do I now have left? Should I cancel my debit card & not take out a new one or change banks? So much for the safety of online trading. Has anyone out there had a similar problem?

- 09/03/04 Good luck with sorting this out, but what you've written doesn't seem to be a review of switch cards and how they work etc. Try finding a financial services-based forum and posting there, perhaps. |
