I have had a Switch card since it was invented -that's over 20 years, so I believe I am somewhat qualified to voice an opinion. I have never had a single problem with the card and I love that I can make, what are for all intents and purposes cash purchases 24/7 using this card. I hardly ever have to go to a cash point machine or to my bank to ... Read the complete review

My card has since been changed from Switch to Maestro, ok no problem. I make a purchase in excess of £10,000. The bank phones and asks if I have made such a purchase, yes I answer, okay - no problem. Only to find out a week later the transaction never took place and missed the boat on my purchase. NatWest told me the seller declined the ... Read the complete review

The Switch card is the most useful card ever invented. It is so handy to use for a 'cash' sale with the added benefit of letting you have cashback as and when required. It is accepted in most retail outlets and over the phone and is so convenient. It also means that if you haven't got the money you can't have it so it helps you control ... Read the complete review

I am deeply concerned. An ISP (Gio internet) has been debiting my switch card at the end of the last two months even although I cancelled with them. I have been assured twice by the ISP that my account has been cancelled. I went into my bank (Bank of Scotland) & asked for the payments to be ... Read the complete review

It's good to know that i don't have to carry cash, and that i can't get into debt in the same way that a credit card might allow me to. For those who aren't sure what a switch card is, i'll just give a brief definition... A switch card debits money straight from your account from the point of sale. It was ... Read the complete review

Switch is the UK's number one debit card and is used by over 23 million people in the UK. In recent times Switch has brought out an advertising campaign to show the marriage of the UK Switch card and the European Maestro debit card, a card which in reality is not much better than Visa Electron or Solo, i.e. can't be used over the internet, ... Switch - what a nightmare! Ok its great to pay by card and not have to carry cash but this green card can be a big hassle. It is a bit too easy to use and it can take a day or so for the debit to hit your account therefore you could be spending what you don't have. That is a bank managers dream - they live off the massive fees they ... Read the complete review

Well, not literally. That would be WEIRD. But seriously, Switch is a lifesaver. It's a debit card that links to your current account, so when you spend on it, you don't pay it off at the end of the month - the money for that transaction comes off your accuont there and then. You can use it in shops, over the phone or net, ... Read the complete review

Okay the Switch card has been around for some time. Electron/Solo cards out the window - they dont compare. First it was Visa Electron when I was 14. A mere 2 years later is was Solo and now, 3 years on, it’s Switch. What am I talking about? My choice of debit card of course. We all know what a debit card is, right? One which operates like a credit card, but removes the money from your current account immediately, rather than piling up in the ... Read the complete review

If like me, you like the convenience of cheques, but don't like the inconvenience of carrying round a bulky cheque book all the time, then Switch is a handy companion for a multitude of purposes. It is particularly useful for those of us, myself included, that occasionally have shopaholic tendencies. A number of banks offer the Switch ... Read the complete review

Using a debit card like Switch is extremely useful and convenient. First of all, it rules out the neccesity of having to bring a lot of cash with you at a time. It also acts as an alternative to paying by cheque. Having used this service through out the whole of my student years, I believe that it is a great alternative to using credit ...
