Tesco Do Not Communicate Adequately (Tesco Clubcard Credit Card)

Advantages: None yet Disadvantages: Incompetent Company Applied for Tesco Credit Card (Clubcard) with a scanned in voucher for 1000 points, approx last July, rec'd eventually in November after I made 2 telephone calls to chase. Activated card, made a transaction on 11 December. The expected 1000 points added were not put onto my clubcard so I became concerned a few weeks later, I was informed that this would be done once the card was used. Have made loads of calls at my expense (one lasting over 14 minutes, it takes 2-3 minutes to actually speak to a person), exchanged 5 emails, have wrote a letter of complaint 22 days ago. Have heard nothing since, they told me that they reply within 10 days of receipt. I was offered £10 on the credit card before I wrote the letter, but I refused as I use my points for deals and this is worth £40 to me, a day out for my children. My local store say that there a lot of customers not receiving their 'bonus' points promised on insurance applications etc. Their customer care phone line system is rubbish and unclear, everyone gives you different information. I am astounded by their incompetence. I will be writing another letter shortly requesting my 1000 points and reimbursement of phone calls and then my next step will be watchdog, companies should not be allowed to treat customers in this way. I only applied for a credit card as Tesco will not be accepting cheques shortly!!! Summary: Very disappointed with their customer care |
