Advantages: being rewarded for buying esentials

Disadvantages: rewards come in the form of vouchers

Tesco was the first supermarket to introduce a loyalty scheme and to date has been highly successful, the theory behind it is, why buy a product somewhere where you can buy it somewhere else and be rewarded for it? Which is a valid point.

Tesco monitors what products each Club card customer buys on a regular basis and depending on how much the customer has spent in store over a set period of time they are sent vouchers in proportion to what they have spent. These vouchers are for things, which the customer regularly buys and so will be able to make use off.

If you wish you can save up your points instead and trade them in for either air miles or thing such as days out to Thorpe park ect.

I think this reward scheme is a good idea and if you shop there anyway you may as well have one, however I thing the Boots advantage card works better as you can chose when and what to spend your points on in store, which is why ill buy my toiletries and things in Boots when it is viable for me to do so.

Summary: Why buy products elsewhere, when you can be rewarded for them at tesco
