I have had a Tesco clubcard for about 5 years now but it was only last year that i truly discovered what a great loyalty card it was and now i am addicted to using it (which i guess is want Tesco want!).

Last year i discovered two websites, Moneysavingexpert.com and Paidtoshop.com which taught me a lot more about how to earn points from Tesco and now i never use my vouchers instore as they are worth 4 times more with deals!

I recommend visiting both these sites reguarly for updates but you can earn extra points by joining up for the 4 mailings, Healthy Living, Food Club, Wine Club and The Baby Club which send you out extra point and money off coupons each quarter.

You can also earn extra points shopping online with 1000 points codes which you type in on the checkout, they do also offer small points offers and money off codes too and MSE and PTS have the latest codes available kindly updated by its helpful members.

Tesco also do promotions where you buy a certain product and get extra points, they seem to do this a lot on the Johnson & Johnson products.

Also available is the little known Clubcard Plus which gives you double points on everything you buy at Tesco, you just need to set up a direct debit each month (can be as little as £1) and you can top up at Customer Services but please note it takes 24 hours to go on your card the first time you top up.

I personally have a £50 DD each month and transfer any additional money onto my card via BACS as Tesco Personal Finance uses the Faster Payment facility which is very helpful for me

Its a great card to have, if you normally spent £100 in Tesco each month you would get £1 in points worth £4 in deals, with the Clubcard Plus its £2 in cash worth £8 in deals for doing nothing at all except using an additional payment card.
