I always love the idea of being rewarded for spending money on items that I need in order to survive. Therefore the idea of rewarding the customer when they spend in Tesco is right up my street.

Tesco is the UK's most popular supermarket; on average I'd say that I spend £50 a week at Tesco. I buy all food, toiletries and some clothing from Tesco.

My assumption is that Tesco isn't the cheapest supermarket available in the UK therefore they have to go a little extra in order to attract regular customers.

Each time you go to Tesco or spend online the customer needs to present their clubcard upon paying for the items. For each £1 you spend in Tesco stores, online and at the petrol station you receive 1 point.

At quarterly intervals during the year Tesco sends each customer a statement of their clubcard points and a voucher to redeem these points.

Each Tesco point is worth 1p and can be spent in Tesco stores. Or, you can quadruple the value of these points if you spend them on 'Clubcard Deals'. Clubcard deals include the following -
