I do the majority of my shopping at Tesco and never really considered getting one until a friend told me she used her clubcard and clubcard vouchers to get a Merlin Annual Pass. Since these cost around £150 to buy I thought it sounded like a pretty good way to get one without the cost.

Tesco clubcard is a loyalty program where you get 1 clubcard point for every £1 you spend in store, online, when you top up your petrol or diesel in their garage, if you have the Tesco credit card and if you take take up certain Tesco insurances e.g Tesco car insurance. Every three months you are given tesco clubcard vouchers, these can be used instore or exchanged online with one of their many partners e.g you can buy tickets to theme parks.

My experience with has been fairly good, they send the vouchers promptly every three months and it`s very easy to go online and deceide what you want to spend your vouchers on. It`s been six month an since I joined clubcard and was a bit disheartened this month as I was £1.50 short in Tesco vouchers in order to get my Merlin Annual Pass. I think they really should send out vouchers more frequently than every three months as now I have to wait another three months to get the £1.50 I need :-(
