Advantages: Can use at other companies and get 4x value

Disadvantages: Could offer you more when earning points, maybe 2 points a pound

Tesco Clubcard is a great scheme which offers you vouchers as cash to spend in store or deals vouchers to use at loads of different places. Basically for every pound you spend you get 1 clubcard point which is worth 1p, this doesn't sound much but if you look out for the coupons that offer you extra points when you buy certain products they soon add up. Points can also be earned at their petrol stations and they are currently offering double points on petrol for the foreseeable future, also you can get extra points at many other places such as e-on (Powergen). Personally I never use the vouchers in store as even though they have just announced they are worth double in store I prefer to use them as part of their deals promotion which offers you 4x the value, so for example if you had £5 worth of Tesco vouchers they are worth £20 if you use them at another company. I have used them and got free meals in restaurants, free or a large chunk off hotel stays and also tickets to Alton Towers. The vouchers are easy to redeem via their website and delivery is within a few days.

Summary: This is a great card which has enabled me to get meals and other services for free
