I own pretty much every reward/loyalty card possible but i believe tescos to give me the greatest reward for my money. For every pound spent with tescos you get 1 clubcard point which may not sound like much but it soon adds up. By re-using bags you can also get green clubcard points which are added to your overall clubcard total. Your points are converted to cash every 3 months at which point you start collecting your points all over again for another 3 months.
At this point around a week after the points are taken off your clubcard statement you will receive your vouchers through the post to the value of the points you have received. They generally come in vouchers of around £5.00s for you to spend. You can spend your vouchers on whatever you like but you can get more for your money in one of two ways. You can exchange your money vouchers for days out vouchers and if you do this you get 4x the amount on your voucher. For example if you have a £5.00 voucher you will get £20.00 towards a day or meal out if you exchange them in this way. Tescos have also in the last month or so brought out another bonus reward system whereby you can go to the customer service dept at your local tesco and exchange £5.00 for £10.00 worth of vouchers. The only catch to this is that you have to specify which dept in the store you want to spend your vouchers in e.g toys, wine, clothes etc but by doing this you cannot use your vouchers on groceries.
In summary how can you possibly lose with tesco clubcard. Your getting money for nothing and if you do your homework you can make up to 4x the profit from your vouchers.
