Advantages: give you vouchers for restaurants for every day shpping

Disadvantages: vouchers only last 3 months

The tesco clubcard credit card pays for my social life! I've just got back from a long lazy dinner with my other half which only cost me the price of a bottle of wine (still more expensive then cooking at home, but a lovely treat every so often).

with the clubcard credit card you get 5 points for every £4 spent in tesco 9one from tesco personal finance and 4 that you would normally get) and 1 point for every £4 spent outside of tesco. If you do your weekly shopping in tesco this is a great idea, or if you pay off the credit card every month, they pay paying you to shop.

the best way to spend your vouchers isn't in store as money off shopping but to exchange them for vouchers which can be spent in restaurant all over the country, £5 vouchers (£500 spent in tesco) turns into £20 restaurant vouchers, £3 is an adult cinema ticket, £2.50 is 60 airmiles, you can also save your vouchers for money off virgin holidays, or tickets to theme parks and events all over the country!

When i have to make a very expensive purchase-eg season ticket, I work out how much I can get back in vouchers, this works out as a very respectable 1% if spent in the right way.

Summary: great if you want to go out, and pay it off every month
