Advantages: A range of deals that will suit everyone
Disadvantages: It takes a whle to save - and it's Tesco
This is the one great product that Tesco offer, and thankfully as my credit card is linked means I don't need to shop at their stores to gain points.
I'm sure when I first had my clubcard that the points per £1 were more, but hey over the past few years I amassed nearly £750 worth in tesco clubcard points value.
For years I've used points to pay for my RAC membership and Merlin Annual Passes, and this year my partner have planned a trip to London thanks to clubcard. I only wish they could be used for the more basic things like rail tickets or local hotel accommodation, but I guess we can't have everything.
Still, we've got 2 Merlin passes for the London Eye, Aquarium and Madame Tussauds and I'm sure we'll probably go to Thorpe Park and Alton Towers at some point. We've also booked a meal at what appears to be a great looking Greek restaurant chain for our visit.
Clubcard have teamed up with a number of companys to offer some very good deals and for £4 for every £1 of clubcard voucher they offer great value. There are a lot of products to choose from, but we are still contimplating whether the holiday sites are offering good value for money - that so far is open to interpretation. Of those we've looked at the most likely one we'd choose would be Butlins, but as the conditions seem a little complicated we've yet to use this type of deal.
I certainly have never had a problem with the products that are available and would certainly recommend Tesco clubcard to enhance your constantly dwindling £1's. My only regret is that it's Tesco and can take a while to save up.
Summary: The only reward card where you actually feel rewarded
