Tescos offer what in my opinion, is one of the best points redemtion schemes around.

How to get a clubcard and how to use it............

It's really easy. Simply ask at the cash desk or at the customer services desk in store. You will need to fill in a short form which collates your details, and will be given a clubcard.

Each time you shop in tescos, be sure to hand in your clubcard before you pay your bill. Points are accumulated depending on how much money you spend.

For each pound you spend, you will receive a point. So if you spend £10, you will receive 10 points. Each point equates to a penny - so in this case you would have earned 10p.

What can you do with your points?

Okay, so one point per pound may not have you jumping with excitement. BUT - you can choose how to redeem your points. You can either cash them in at face value and knock this money off your grocery shop, or you can use the better option - quadruple them!

Quadrupling your clubcard points............

You can receive 4x the value of your original points is you don't just cash them in. So for instance, if you have £5 worth of points - you can turn this into £20 bu choosing to spend them on a clubcard deal.

Tesco's have a wide range of things you can spend your club card points on - you can ask for a brochure in Tesco's or check these out online at www.tesco.com

Clubcard deals include offers on hotels, days out, products of all kinds and even holidays and insurances. This is where you really get your money's worth.

Unfortunately Tesco club cards will expire after a certain time - they last up to 2 years. I was collecting them and forgot to cash them in on time. Sometimes you can contact a customer advisor from Tesco's who will redeem these for you - but this appears to be 'pot luck!'
