Advantages: Great deals to take advantage of. Deals are worth 4 times the amount of your money off voucher

Disadvantages: None

Tesco Clubcard is a great way to get the most out of your money. Tesco is the closest supermarket to us so we do use it for everything. Our shopping, our petrol, we even do DVD rentals with them. Consequently we accrue a lot of clubcard points.

I never really took much notice of them though. I would get the money off vouchers and I would save them up for Christmas then have a substantial amount taken off my bill. That in itself was great but I soon discovered there was so much more available with these vouchers.

The first time I changed up my vouchers I was really surprised. My £5 off voucher was worth £20 if I exchanged it for one of their clubcard deals and there are so many deals to choose from. You have to exchange in values of £2.50 but that's fine. £2.50 is worth £10 in clubcard deals. My husband and I decided that we would give it a go and exchanged some money off vouchers for Bella Italia vouchers. We exchanged £7.50 and got £30 to spend in Bella Italia. It only covers your food, not your drinks but that was fine. We had a fantastic 3-course meal and a bottle of wine for about £10.

I have to say it was a little embarrassing handing over the vouchers in what was quite a posh and romantic restaurant but it was about 5 minutes of feeling a bit embarrassed - we had 2 hours of enjoyment!

Since then we have used these vouchers loads of times. I exchanged some vouchers to pay for an Open University Course and we also exchanged money off vouchers for Goldsmith vouchers. We bought 4 very beautiful white gold, diamond necklaces for our 4 bridesmaids at our wedding. Some of the deals have their own restrictions, for example in Goldsmiths you have to spend over £200 for the vouchers to be valid.

The vouchers can also be exchanged for days out, activity days, holidays, hotels, subscriptions to magazines and so much more. All of the information about clubcard deals is sent out with the money off vouchers so it's not difficult to find something to suit. You can also look on the Tesco clubcard website to see what deals they have available.

Exchanging the vouchers is easy as well but you do have to register yourself online. We just go onto their website choose what we want to exchange our vouchers for, click on it and on the right hand side it asks how much you want to exchange. It explains everything as you go through on the screen but you just need to type in the codes at the bottom of the vouchers, it registers them as being used and then within a couple of working days your vouchers are sent out to you.

I can't fault it really. If you don't have a clubcard, get one! There is so much to enjoy from their deals!

Summary: Great way to make the most of your money
