The Body Shop card is probably one of the most rewarding loyalty cards around at the moment because it offers so much. I had one a few years ago and never renewed it until a few months back, and I'm glad I did.

First of all, one disadvantage is that it does cost £5 in order to have a Body Shop card. However, don't let this put you off as you will definitely receive your money back.

**10% discount**
The first thing is that the card offers 10% discount off all purchases, both in store and online. The product can be of any value, there is no minimum spend required. It is definitely worth carrying it around with you at all times because you never know when you might feel the need to visit a body shop and spend some hard earned cash.

**Stamps**
The second benefit is that if you spend over £10 in one transaction after the 10% discount has been applied then you get a stamp. If you get 4 stamps then you get a free gift up to the value of £5. If you get 8 stamps then you get a free gift up to the value of £10.

The only down side is that these stamps are only available in store and you cannot get a stamp when you buy online. According to the website though they are looking at ways you can get your stamps when you shop online.

**Free Birthday Gift**
When you register for the card you have to fill in your details onto a rather long form, including your birth date. This is then transferred onto the card (don't worry the year doesn't go on there - just the date and the month). When it comes to your birthday month you are then entitled to a free gift up to the value of £5.

Now, for any body wondering, even though you have to pay £5 for the card, even if you don't use it again, you do get your free gift and therefore making your money back. Look at it as an investment for the future?

This card is valid for a year from the date of purchase and as I said, even if you don't use it again, if you claim your birthday gift then you have not lost anything. If your birthday is several months after signing up for the card then it still feels like you are getting something for nothing with your free gift!

With Christmas coming up it might be worth getting one of these cards, and remember, the more you spend on it then the more it benefits you. Now lots of people are going to get Body Shop products for Christmas!
