So if I had £100.94 worth of Travel Pounds why did they not take this off my account. The payment that they should have received was just £35.00 I always pay my card off as I pay the taxes ... more

The Thomas Cook Credit Card suited me down to the ground until they changed the Conditions. I book four Holidays a year and was paying for them on the Credit Card in full within the 3 Months. Now there is no grace. Pay in full within the month or pay extortionate fees. After returning from a Thomas Cook Holiday just recently my Daughter and I had food poisoning both were confined to bed whereas could not pay my bill on time which is usually by Cheque. I issued a cheque once I was up and about and sent it by 1st class post on the 6th they reckon that they did not receive it till the 17th. I received no communication from them but my statement has arrived with late ...  Read the complete review

Thomas Cook credit card is like a lot of other decent credit cards with a couple of extras that make the difference. I originally applied for it when I was booking a holiday at Going Places the travel agents. They are part of the Thomas Cook group and I always book with them. There was an advert for the card in the shop and what attracted me was that if you book a holiday with any Thomas Cook outlet then you get an extra couple of month's interest free credit and also you earn travel miles from Thomas Cook. These can be exchanged for money off a holiday or foreign currency. I received the card and on top of what I've mentioned I also got an interest free ...  Read the complete review

Whatever you do, DO not get a Thomas Cook Credit Card! I had one and have had so many problems with it. My statement was sent out to me late, when i was on a Thomas cook 2week holiday so i couldnt pay the bill. I returned to pay it 3 days late and was charged £12.00 for late payment. I spoke to customer services superviser 'Sharon' who was rude and unhelpful. I asked how much i owed so i could close my account. She told me and i paid it. The next month they sent me another bill for interest on the 3day late payment. When i called back to talk to 'Sharon,' and asked why she said nothing, she just said you should have read your terms and ...  Read the complete review

Don't touch Thomas Cook Credit Card (307 words)

I've had a bad experience with Thomas Cook Credit Card. I too took it out to pay for my holiday to avoid the hefty credit card fee they would charge using any other credit cards but there's. The card wasn't authorised there and then in the shop and I paid a deposit for the holiday via a debit card. Months later I got the final holiday bill and I paid the holiday off in full once I got the statement. However because the 3 month interest free period had finished, I was charged interest from the moment the purchase was made until I received the statement and paid it off (£11.50). I called them about this and complained that with every other ...  Read the complete review

I've had the Thomas Cook Credit card for around 6 months now, the thing that attracted me to it is the cashback that Thomas Cook offers called Travel Pounds. I pay the card off every month, so the APR, interest free period, etc isn't much of a concern to me. Originally, you gained 2% back on purchases from Thomas Cook and 1% back on all other purchases. However this halved in April 2009, meaning that you're now only rewarded with 1% cashback from what you spend at Thomas Cook and 0.5% of what you spend elsewhere. So, if you spent £500 per month on your card, you'd get £2.50 cashback. It doesn't sound a lot, but it does add up over the course of a year (£30 in ...  Read the complete review
