The Thomas Cook Credit Card suited me down to the ground until they changed the Conditions. I book four Holidays a year and was paying for them on the Credit Card in full within the 3 Months. Now there is no grace. Pay in full within the month or pay extortionate fees. After returning from a Thomas Cook Holiday just recently my Daughter and I had food poisoning both were confined to bed whereas could not pay my bill on time which is usually by Cheque. I issued a cheque once I was up and about and sent it by 1st class post on the 6th they reckon that they did not receive it till the 17th. I received no communication from them but my statement has arrived with late payment charges interest and the threat of a further £50.00 fee. I contacted them immediatly they informed me that they had received the cheque but had not taken it off my account due to my weakness I had written £1000 in figures but £100 in the amount box. Surely they should have contacted me they have several contact numbers. I checked my internet bank account and realised that the cheque had not cleared my account so rang to discuss the matter. I asked as a gesture of goodwill and the fact that during a Thomas Cook Holiday I had been taken ill and had to seek Medical Attention on my return and the fact that they had not contacted me about the cheque would they waiver the charges. Five hours later they rang me back. Compassion. NO Understanding NO. Just reiteration that all charges will apply and the operative informed me they are not Thomas Cook. Ugh.
I advised her that I will transfer my Balance when I get another Credit Card and she told me that I will lose my £100.94 worth of Travel Pounds if I do that. So if I had £100.94 worth of Travel Pounds why did they not take this off my account. The payment that they should have received was just £35.00 I always pay my card off as I pay the taxes everywhere else in my life so do not give these Companies money they dont deserve as they havent earnt it.
I will be changing my Credit Card. HA HA I have cashed my Travel Pounds towards my Holiday in December and I wont pay the charges.

Summary: Shop around for a better Company.
