      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Nice starter set or perfect for students!

Recently I moved out of a flatshare that had gone miserably wrong to a modern, bright and airy flat of my own. I don't know about you though but when moving I get the urge to modernise all my stuff and get it all matching and fresh and with my birthday being only a couple of days after initially moving into the place it seemed the perfect time to drop hints on what I wanted.

I had two dinner sets, posh and modern ones that I had really saved up for. My ex flatmate was a nightmare at breaking my stuff and so I had two incomplete sets of what was meant to be sets so on my hit list was a new dinner set for my new home.

Instead of having fancy as I have always gone for I decided that this time I simply wanted a very plain set yet modern in appearance. This set I had spotted in Asda, taken a look at it and really like the look and quality of it and at £12.00 a set it seemed a bit of a bargain so I was happy that people had listened to me and I got this!

      The Packaging:

The box is large and on it we are clearly told what it is and that it is an Asda product with photographs all over it of the dinner set and that it is microwave and dishwasher safe and contact details for Asda are given. Each piece of the dinner set is well wrapped in brown cardboard and thats basically it!

      The Set Itself:

Well the dinner set comprises of 4 plates, 4 side plates and 4 bowls which I think really are like cereal bowls. I opted for my set in the deep red colour but they are also available in like a beige colour and the white set is actually only £10.00 opposed to the £12.00 price tag of the coloured sets which in my opinion is a great buy!

This is actually a brilliant and simplistic, everyday sort of dinner set. Each piece is completely plain (no writing is on the bottom of the plates at all either). The dinner plates as is the rest of the set is plain with slightly curved off edges obviously to stop food falling off too easily. The colour of my set as I mentioned previously is a red shade but a darkish and classy red glazed shade opposed to bright and in your face. The dinner plates are lightweight but sturdy, slightly shiny and well and evenly glazed giving each piece a lovely finish. As is the rest of the set this is made from a type of stone so yep you drop anything it will smash however when washing it up and stuff I find it rather robust.

The sides plates are again a good size and lovely in appearance and the dishes like I said are like small cereal bowls perfect for using as you want to with tall edges.

All items are perfectly fine in the microwave with the glaze not cracking or anything adverse like that and they really nice in every way. There are no cups or mugs or anything like that but hey who needs em!

A great set, recommended from me! Only available from Asda and from Asdadirect.com
