Advantages: HUGE mug

Disadvantages: too big for many, designs not to everyone's taste

I bought this mug in the large flower design last year for my house mate and I admit I'm pretty much holding it hostage in my room most of the time!!

As a massive tea drinker, I find most mugs don't satisfy my thirst and I end up going back and making another cuppa straight after the first! However, with my (housemate's) enourmas Cath Kidston mug I can be satisfied with just the one mug. Its kind of like drinking from the teapot itself!!!

Cath Kidston, who opened her fist store in 1993, specialises in designing bold yet cute designs in florals, spots and stripes covering a range of homeware, clothing, accessories and outdoor products. After literally exploding in popularity over the last few years, Cath has been nicknamed the "new Laura Ashley" and is set to be a prominent figure in design history. However, her designs only appeal to some and have been imitated by many! There seems to be a whole army of middle class 'yummy-mummies' who are decking out their homes in Cath Kidston-like florals!

I tend to find most of Cath's products over priced for what they are. However, this mug seems to be an exception to the rule at only £4.00 which I think is very reasonable and also makes a nice gift.

Although I find the whole home furnishing range a little OTT when not used sparingly, little touches are sure to brighten up any home and this mug is no exception! Its bright and bold floral design is sure to add some colour to the cupboard and as for its function as a mug; it hold my tea, keeps it warm, has a handle etc so I cant fault it!! However, I am quite exceptional in my tea drinking habits so I can understand it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Summary: a HUGE mug with bright bold designs
