I originally bought this mug as a present for a friend but I really liked it so ended up keeping it and buying something else to give her!
I never really watched WonderWoman when it was on telly, I'm a bit too young for that, but everybody knows the iconic image and that awesome campy costume no matter how old you are! This mug features cartoon images of Wonder Woman in bright colours in a comic strip layout that covers the whole mug.
The mug has a chunky feel to it, its bigger than average, short and squat, but not as huge as some mugs you can buy which can hold enough coffee to make you feel ill and send you rushing straight to the loo. The handle is a good size, big and thick enough that you can comfortably hold a mug that's heavy and full which is great, I hate mugs where you can only fit one or two fingers through the handle!
I've had this mug for well over 5 years now and it still looks like it did the day I bought it. Its been through the dishwasher probably about a thousand times but the comic book images are still as clear as they ever were with no chipping or fading at all which is a miracle really.
The mug comes in an attractive and sturdy cardboard presentation box which makes it a great gift for one of the more wonderful women in your life as it makes it a nice easy to wrap cube shape!
It's an embarrassing love to admit, but I really like buying mugs for some strange reason, and have a cupboard full as testament to this. I also really like cartoons and anime, and Wonder Woman is a character I like. So, when I came across this mug on the internet on sale for £4 I bought it without hesitation.
I got this from Play.com as a genuine mug, not a fake one with tacky graphics stuck on to it. It's produced by Half Moon Bay, who do a lot of memorabilia type products, and I've seen some good reviews regarding the quality of their stuff. This mug came in a cardboard presentation box so it all arrived in good condition, no damage, and looked neat enough to give as a nice gift (to myself, in this case!).
The first thing that really stood out was the vibrancy of the images; the colour is bold, the print is solid and it has a relatively glossy finish. I've been using this for several months now and it has survived lots of hand washing without any sign of damage or fading to the images, which is quite impressive.
The mug itself is fairly chunky and sturdy, so this also feels like good quality. It's good to hold and it keeps your drink warm for quite a while. I'm saying this because we've had mugs before that have either been very thick and seem to not keep the warmth, or very thin and quite frail, which keep the heat but damage very easily.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this, both in terms of the mug itself and the colourful design. It's high quality, looks fab, would make a nice gift and is great to drink from, and so far I have no complaints :)
RRP £5.99, selling on Play.com for £4.99.
