... bit mode you can have a rock solid 120 to 200hz with no worries at all.
At 1600 x 1200 it can still show images at 120 hz but the writting is tiny, it can go as high 2560 x 1600 pixels but at that level you only get 60hz.
Although its big its foot takes less desk space than my old 19 inch monitor's foot.
When you switch it on, it comes on very very fast.

HP 72 ... button, a plus button, a minus button and a power button. When you press the menu button you see many different options all with a useful picture to tell you what they are for example a sun for the brightness control when you are in the menu the menu button becomes the select button enabling you to choose the option you want, when you're done scroll to the exit and press menu/select, easy! The speakers are even easier to use twiddle the knob clockwise volume up, anticlockwise.. you guessed volume down. Samsung Syncmaster 793ST ... real work horses and cannot be beaten for reliability, good looks, size of screen and also versatility concerning placement and position with its adaptable base. The screen is very smooth and consistant - no flickering and colours are bright and intense. I have three of which the eldest is 2 years old, and have had no problems. The only irritating thing is the settings (brightness+size calibration) sits on the side of the monitor and is a bit ackward to set as there are 5 buttons and you cant see which on is for what. Ever so often you either cancel settings or switch off the monitor by mistake whilst doing settings, but I suppose you only do settings on the monito...
