... bought this monitor, somewhere in 2001. That means I have had it for more than five years. It is good as new, very clear just like a newly bought monitor. When the saleslady told me about this brand, I was sceptical. Now, I believe her. This is a good buy! There are some buttons for adjusting the image and display. Compaq S 5500 ... I was sat in the Uni Library (see the COMPAQ Evo review), and I thought I d review the monitor that s sat inches in front of my bored and sad little face. It s a startling silver colour (imagine a silver ps2/ps3 if you would) on the front, with a dull black casing away from the front panel. The product name is at the top of the monitor just above the screen) with COMPAQ in red to the "viewers" left and "5500" in black to the right. Theres three buttons in the centre (menu, - and +) with an on/off switch to the right...all pretty bog standard really. Viewsonic E70 ... ve had a 17" Viewsonic E70 CRT monitor for about seven years now as well as many others brands before and during that time, I ve spent quite a few hours in front of many different monitors, One monitor I used had a blurry screen... it was fine watching movies and playing games but trying to read standard sized text was painful after a few sentences, most others had fine screens but after an hour sometimes less I would get intense headache s, I read some time ago this is due to the on screen flickering that you don t see with the naked eye, but if you point a camera at a CRT monitor and look at the camera display you will see it. Eizo Flexscan F 563 ... is a great monitor, it beats at image quality the most pretentious LCD monitors. The image is superb, also he suports a 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz and 1024x768 @ 100 Hz. The menu is intuitively created and it s simply to use it, also you have some very fine color tunnings at disposal. Nor or less, EIZO makes great monitors, they worth every penny.
