Compaq P 1210 ... of you who have read any of my recent reviews will be aware that where I work we have in excess of 20 computers working. That of course means we also have in excess of 20 monitors. They all work 24hrs a day 7 days a week and are used continuously. So with that in mind it is a good test of how robust the equipment we use is. When you consider that the ones we are using have been in situation since 2000 then they really do have a good life span. We have a varied selection of monitors and have 6 of the Compaq P1210 model. Iiyama Vision Master Pro 510 ... Vision Master Pro 510 is a hefty 22-inch screen that certainly should take up all your desk space, although it's worth noting that the viewable area is the same 20 inches as most 21-inch monitors. Once you've got it out of the box (a significant achievement in itself with a monitor of this size, because it weights a monstrous 33kg) and connected to your PC, you can start to take advantage of its capabilities. Like the maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536, for example, which is displayed at a refresh rate of 80Hz. As with most monitors, though, I found the top resolution a little uncomfortable to read and I'm happier at 1,800 x 1,440 or 1,600 x 1,280. ... Iiyama Vision Master Pro 510 ... own a 17" Iiyama which I've had for over 3 years and I've never seen a monitor which comes close to it's picture quality. Based on my personal experience I got a 22" Iiyama for work. It's picture quality is even better than my 17" Iiyama. Using it with a Matrox G400 graphics card gives stunnnig results. The highest resolution I can use it comfortably is 1600x1280 which looks great. Any higher than that really isn't usable. One thing to note if you're thinking of buying one of these beasts, it's HEAVY! I can't remember the exact weight but you'll need two people to get it out of the box and onto the desk. The monit...
