ADI G910 19" FST Monitor. (ADI G910)
Member Name: Caliburn
Advantages: Big screen,Flat display,Sharp resolution Disadvantages: No BNC connectors
I'd been looking around for a decent monitor to replace my ageing 17" Hansol. So having done a bit of research it came down to the ADI G910 or the Mitsubishi Diamondplus 91. The ADI was more expensive at £410 but had a very good 3 year onsite warranty and a resonable 18" viewable diagonal. My main working resolution would be 1280 X 1024 @ 85HZ which the ADI has and it is also able to go up to 1600 X 1200 @75HZ. Well i ordered the ADI from DABS.COM and it arrived the next day in a hugh cardboard box well protected. There was no manual with the box but instructions on how to take it out were printed on the box flaps and a CD-ROM containing help files and Colorific (a gamma control program) was included. The monitor was easy to setup after lugging it carefully up the stairs. Windows 98SE detected the monitor OK(although i did later fo to ADI's site and down load the latest inf file for it).If you've not used a 19" monitor before then you will be astonded and overjoyed at how much bigger, sharper and brighter the ADI is than your old 15" or 17" is. The ADI is amazing and i feel its one of the best buys i've ever made. The difference in display size, not having to move multiple windows around to make space on the desktop and pin sharp text and colours make this stand out from your cheap and cheerful goldfish bowl shaped monitors.I would say if your upgrading your monitor go for a 19" and put the ADI G910 near the top of you list.
