The V900's new short-neck design makes it almost three inches less deep than conventional 19-inch monitors, which translates into more room on the desk. It also supports the new Universal Serial Bus (USB) pass through to connect USB keyboard, mouse, or other USB devices into the monitor. The full 18-inch viewable area screen with fine dot pitch has an anti-reflective, anti-static coating for less dust buildup and high-contrast images. Compaq designed the V900's shape to minimize its desktop footprint and to prevent cable clutter. This innovative cable concealment design allows the display to be placed flush against a partition wall. The onscreen display, with convenient three-button operation, uses an illustrated approach for easy and precise picture adjustments, including color level, color temperature, tilt, zoom, and geometry controls. Compaq's monitors are optimized to run on Compaq CPUs, but are also suitable for other branded computer systems.
