Hansol 501P Monitor (Hansol 501P)

Advantages: Great manufacturer back-up Disadvantages: The grey colour might clash with desktop PC cases
I bought a Hansol 501P (15" display) from Simply computers about 4 months ago - it was excellent value for money. Even though the first one delivered was faulty - everything on screen had a purple tinge to it - when I told Simply, a Hansol engineer swapped it for a replacement the very next day - GREAT service!!! I now need another monitor for an old PC whose monitor has developed a fault and I'll almost certainly go for another of these. The picture's sharp, and there are a whole host of on screen menu driven picture controls available. Plus, it is Plug and Play for Windows 95/98. The monitor I intend to replace with a Hansol is an older (about three years) CTX - no comparison. The only possible problem with the Hansol is that it is grey - a lot of PC cases are beige. If, like me, you have a tower system, then that's no problem is it?! There are many monitors around and I scoured all of the various magazines and looke don the net before narrowing my search down to just three. The Hansol won on price, since the others (I recall a Philips among the others) had basically the same specification but cost a bit more. Summary: |
