Advantages: Clear flat screen with no glare
Disadvantages: none
I have been using this monitor now for over five months and have no complaints at all. I must admit that I was a little dubious about it to start with as the price was only £169, which is at the cheaper end of the 17” monitor market, but as you can see from the specs below it was very good value; 17” Dynaflat screen, 16” viewable 0.25mm dot pitch 1600 x 1200 max resolution @ 75Hz 1280 x 1024 optimum resolution @ 85Hz MPR-II, EPA Energy Star and TCO’99 compliant The monitor’s dimensions are only 418mm wide, 417mm high and 419mm deep so it will not take over your desk completely, but at 15.0Kg it should be handled with care. The ‘Dynaflat’ screen is almost completely flat, eliminating the feeling that you are looking at a curved screen and reduces sun glare and reflections. The monitor is also microprocessor controlled offering a steady and reliable display. In use the display is very crisp and colours are very well defined with no bleeding, even with mixed high / low contrasts. Four buttons at the bottom of the screen allow access to the monitors on screen display for controlling contrast, brightness, position, size, geometry, moiré, language, onscreen display positioning, colour temperature, degauss and zoom. The monitor is plug and play compatible and also Mac compatible with the correct adapter. Overall a very impressive display with more features than you can shake a stick at and a three year replacement warranty. Then when you consider that they can be picked up for as cheap as this, it is a definate must buy.

- 30/04/01 I've had a Hansol 710P for around the same length of time as you, and not a sausage wrong with it so far. Wonderfully clear screen at a bargain price when compared to the other 17" monitors on the market! |
