Advantages: Good clear picture, Very good Price, Well Packaged
Disadvantages: None to speak of!
I bought my Hansol 710D a little while ago and haven’t been disappointed by it! I was looking for a budget monitor and couldn’t believe my look when I found a 17” for less than £200 (this was about a year ago.) As far as its technical specs go its very impressive. It can manage a 19” monitor beating 1600*1200 @ 75Hz. I challenge you to find a better specked 17” monitor for less than £200. Although it only has the normal analogue connection (D-Sub) it really is (no matter what the elitist magazines say) fine for most people use, take a look at your graphics card, do you see a flat panel digital output? If you do, congrats, you have an expensive or very new card, however most of you will probably say “No!” Its OSD (on Screen Display) is very intuitive and simple to control, unlike other brands I wont mention. As far as its picture goes, its impeccable. With its 0.25 DPI (dots per inch) its image is very sharp and its geometry is good, although this did take a bit of messing to get right initially. Die to its Flat screen it has a very good non-reflective screen, its anti-glare coating is also very unobtrusive and cant really be seen apart from at extreme angles to the monitor, when its turned off! The image successfully goes completely to the edge of the screens borders, without warping. It has a good crisp image throughout, with no fading or warping in the corners. It came very well packaged, with no wasted space and a driver’s disk for all OS’s. To top it all, it even has the TCO 99 standard compliancy, therefore making it very economical. I have absolutely no qualms over recommending this monitor to anyone and urge you to choose it over its slightly cheaper Brother, the 710P, the extra money really is worth it, as the flat-screen and lower DPI make all the difference.
