First impressions of this monitor is the sheer size. It's a 19 inch monster with a massive viewable screen area. The difference is immediately noticable and you will enjoy using your computer a lot more on a larger display. I got this monitor to replace my old 15 inch display which served me well, or so I thought. The clarity of the picture is much better than my old monitor, something I didn't expect from such a large display. The output is as good as anything you could expect from a 17 or 15 inch monitor, and the the output at max resolution of 1600x1200 is still very sharp and defined.
