Welcome to the world of 17" monitors. If you have been somewhat bereft of desk space recently then you will no doubt have missed out on such luxuries. This is no exception space-wise; in terms of depth it is rather large. However there is a reason for this as it is a cathode ray monitor and as such needs a lot of room for the technical wizadry behind it. This model benefits from a maximumm screen resolution of 1600x1200 but to be honest the picture loses its clarity. I use this monitor at work. It is a 17-inch monitor. It is not a spectacular monitor but it does what it has to. You cannot compare this monitor to one of the latest flat screen models because this is a FST (flat screen tube) monitor. this monitor isn't bad. The colours are good and the picture is sharp for an FST monitor. If you want to do general work like word processing and internet surfing then this monitor would be a good choice. However, if you are into desktop publishing and CAD, then i think, a flat screen monitor would be better. I personally would prefer a flat screen monitor but they tend to be more expensive. I work with computer at least 6 days a week, at least 8 hours a day, therefore the display device is very important to me. I need a very low rediation monitor and high quality, of course. So, I opt for IIyama Vision Master 403. The picture quality is excellent! The resolution is very high and can allow me to actually squeeze in a lot more in this 19" monitor. Although the design of this monitor is nothing very extra-ordinary, but the colour sensitivity is excellent. It is very easy to install and very easy to use, all you need is just your common sence.
