I managed to get this monitor for free as someone else was throwing it out, and it has performed so well that I haven't bothered to upgrade to LCD screens yet, there's no point, it will only mean a drop in performance. It can run at 1920x1440 which is an awesome resolution that is above full HD TVs, and above what most monitors can do unless you spend 200 pounds or more on an LCD. On the other hand it does put out more heat than an LCD (I'm sitting in a >26C room right now, but i do have a lot of hardware). This monitor was and is just about the best you can get unless you have a budget of many hundreds to spend, and who knows, you may get lucky and find one for a ... Read the complete review

Have been using the same one since 1999. Sturdy and reliable. Sharp image but I would have to say that its color temperature appears slightly darker compared to other CRTs

Iiyama Vm-Pro450. Heard of it? If not where have you been? This monitor is like the KING of screens in the 19" arena! It consistently wins the screen round ups. And in my opinion it rightly deserves such credit. THe screen is quite heavy. It is in fact 27kg! so if you intend to buy one and not got the strength to do it please go work out down the gym then you will be prepared for the vm450. It has a very simple and minilistic look to he screen. I think it looks tidy and stlish. On the front of the screen it has 3 buttons to change the display properties and one for power. The OSD is not the most natural thing to use. At first it is slow ... Read the complete review

Iiyama is known to manufacture some very nice monitors, and the Vision Master Pro 450 is no exception. Yes, you can buy larger monitors. Yes, a few even have better quality. But you won't find one that comes even close to the Pro 450 at a price of around $550. It has an on screen menu & 15-pin D-Sub or BNC inputs. It was built to be a simple yet high-quality monitor and exceeds those goals. One of the other things I like about this monitor is the fast resolution switching. I have seen monitors that take up to 3 seconds to fully switch from a text console to high resolution, the Pro 450 takes under a second. The screen is incredibly flat and almost ...
