Advantages: Extremely clear picture

Disadvantages: Picture dimensions change very slightly (unnoticable) during normal use.

Iiyama is known to manufacture some very nice monitors, and the Vision Master Pro 450 is no exception. Yes, you can buy larger monitors. Yes, a few even have better quality. But you won't find one that comes even close to the Pro 450 at a price of around $550. It has an on screen menu & 15-pin D-Sub or BNC inputs. It was built to be a simple yet high-quality monitor and exceeds those goals.

One of the other things I like about this monitor is the fast resolution switching. I have seen monitors that take up to 3 seconds to fully switch from a text console to high resolution, the Pro 450 takes under a second.

The screen is incredibly flat and almost looks concave if you're used to staring at other monitors for hours on end.

The only (and I do mean *only*) weakness I have found is that the image dimensions (configurable with the OSD) change slightly as the tube warms up. If you adjust the display so it barely fits within the black borders around the edge of the tube, you'll find in half an hour or so, that your picture has widened and shifted up a few fractions of an inch. This is no big deal, however, just remember to always set your preferable dimensions when the monitor is warm.

Upon further reflection, I would not have bought any other monitor.
