Iiyama....this name has been around for many years as one of the leaders in screen technology, it is renowned for the very high quality of it's picture. Since I started in computers back in 1987 I have always tried to own a good monitor because you only have one set of eyes. I've had Taxan's, Sony's, Viewsonic's, and finally Iiyama's. The latest one being the Vision Master Pro 452, it's a 19" Aperture Grille Monitor. The picture is extremely sharp and defined, this is due to the Mitsubishi Daimondtron Tube and Iiyama's excellent electronics. Small text sometimes can be a little difficult to read but this is a charactureistic of the Aperture Grille technology, but if it's graphics that you are after this is an absolutely superb monitor. The onscreen controls are very simplistic in nature but you have a great deal of control over all the settings, and it's possible to get 1600X1200 resolution edge to edge onscreen with a litte playing. Some people just don't like an aperture grille monitor because you can see the two faint lines running parallel across the screen top and bottom, this is not a manufacturing fault, it is a characturistic of the Aperture Grille as these two wires actually hold the Grille in place, but if you aren't worried about this, then you most certainly want to go and buy one of these monitors as this probably will be the best quality picture you will have ever seen.
