The face-off of monitor's... I am an advent shopped when it comes to an item I want. I generally poke around stores and use the internet as an extensive platform to find the right product that will suit me. This time however I was caught out. I could not for the life of me find a cheapish monitor that was 19" and had some of the best features. Playing games and having a high end machine I wanted to compliment it with a nice big monitor. I think i am going to have trouble finding anything that bad about this monitor. The picture quality is excellent (currently running at 24bit colour on 1280 X 1024 @ 85Hz) all text is sharp and colours are bright. It can handle 1600 X 1200 But this is definately NOT recommended its just too small and the flicker will give you a headache. Compared to the 19" Samsung OEM (One of my other monitors) which was only a couple of ££ cheaper the SW 995E is much better the picture is more stable and with a bit of adjustment is perfectly straight. What can I say about this monitor? I've been using one now for a year in a professional capacity. This monitor is hooked up to my CAD station & is about the minimum size you'd want to use for this purpose! It also makes everyday applications easier to use just by the sheer amount of room provided! The 995E is not a flatscreen monitor, but does have an 18" vieable area & does not seem to suffer from any of the deformation at the edges that I have seen on other screens.
