Advantages: Screen Quality, Service, Build Quality
Disadvantages: Not available anymore!, Probably a tad tricky control system
I got my monitor as apart of a system from MESH plc last year around mid June (2000). One day later I got home to use my pc when suddenly, click, the monitor wouldn't switch on. I was rather p****d off as it was brand spanking new. So I rang up MESH who told me that it was under guarantee with Mitsubitshi and that I should contact them. SO I rang Mitsubitshi and they were so nice and professional about the whole situation. They said they'll send a brand new one next day by midday. Yep I know what you might be thinking, but guess what, they delivered on time no hassles and to this day (1 Sept 2001) it's been as sparkling as the first day. Bearing in mind I use my screen a a daily basis. The quality of this monitor is absolutely amazing. The casing is sturdy and has curves in the right places. Now onto the screen itself, well what can i say, it took some getting use to when i first got the monitor as the screen seems to be curving out. The screen is so flat and the black is true black. Picture wise it can't be faulted, my desktop is on 1600 x 1200 @ 75 refresh rate, and it's so sharp and easy on the eye. The quality is probably even better than most monitors on the market today. I play a lot of games from Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Red Alert series, Age of Empires to Transport Tycoon. As well as games I use my pc for watching tv and DVDs. DVD Colours are not very vibrant but well above standard. In all the Mitsubitshi is definitely recommended. That is if you can find one.
