Advantages: sharp image, flat screen, no reflection

Disadvantages: set-up fiddly

I have been very impressed with this monitor in the few weeks that I've been using it. The flat tube really is sharp, picture quality is excellent right to the edges and the colours are vibrant. When directly in front of the screen, there are virtually no reflection problems, partly due to both the flatness of the tube and an anti-reflective coating.

One downside might be that colours are not quite as vibrant as on other 17" monitors using this tube technology. There is a 'fine picture mode' button which seems to bring the colours more to life, but using this doesn't help when playing games with a gloomy environment because everything looks black! I suspect this mode is more for DTP/CAD work. The setup is a bit fiddly, it took me a few days to get rid of the various pin-cushion and trapezoid problems with the image, but overall I have been very impressed by this monitor.

In the windows control panel, there doesn't appear to be a way of altering the refresh rate, so I just have to assume that I'm using 85Hz at 1024x768. The resolution will go up to 1600x1200, good for looking at large pictures but useless for anything else on a screen of this size.
