The Diamond Pro 900u is the first Mitsubishi monitor to feature this CRT. This .25mm pitch Diamondtron aperture grill CRT provide bright sharp images and colors, and the natural flat technology makes them distortion-free. The anti-static, anti-reflective faceplate coating is easy on the eyes and improves visibility by reducing reflected ambient light and cutting down on static dust buildup. This 19-inch monitor is suitable for advanced business, multimedia, publishing or other applications that require quality images and a full-sized workspace. The onscreen display and front-panel buttons let viewers customize more than 14 screen properties, including brightness, contrast and pincushioning. The fully-adjustable color balance lets users adjust and store onscreen colors to match color samples such as hard copy or Pantone. A self-powered Universal Serial Bus hub is built into the Diamond Pro 900u, with three downstream ports and two upstream ports so that two separate computer systems may share USB devices. The Diamond Pro 900u is compatible with IBM, UNIX, Macintosh and PowerMacintosh, Windows 95 and Windows 98. It supports high-resolution third-party graphics standards. For safe and energy-efficient operation, this display meets all major emission and power management requirements including TCO '95 and Energy Star. It also has a universal power supply.

The flat monitor does not have any angles and thus the reflections are reduced and my eyes are not as badly strained when I look at it. This monitor is unlike the majority of other CRT monitors in that its glass screen is completely flat, like that of the Sony Wega line of televisions. This is a feature that I found extremely appealing and was the main factor in my decision to purchase it. Upon powering up the monitor, the benefits of the flat screen were evident.
