Advantages: clearer, crisper images with much less distortion and glare, a neat USB hub feature

This monitor is unlike the majority of other CRT monitors in that its glass screen is completely flat, like that of the Sony Wega line of televisions. This is a feature that I found extremely appealing and was the main factor in my decision to purchase it.

Upon powering up the monitor, the benefits of the flat screen were evident. The images on the screen were completely distortion free, crisp and clear. The reflections and glare from other light sources in my room were vastly reduced. With my old CRT monitor and its traditional curved glass screen, light from the outside or my lamps would reflect off in angles that diminished my viewing pleasure. The flat monitor does not have any angles and thus the reflections are reduced and my eyes are not as badly strained when I look at it. I would say that it now takes about two to three additional hours of viewing for my eyes to feel as tired as they would be from viewing my old, traditional, curved CRT monitor screen.

The onscreen display system made setup a breeze. I had no trouble changing the settings or the resolution or refresh rate. The controls are very intuitive.

A neat bonus feature of this monitor that I have yet to fully utilize is the self-powered USB hub which has three downstream ports and two upstream ports allowing two separate computer systems to share the same USB devices simultaneously.

For all of these features, the unit is also reasonably priced at £420. For anyone looking for a large monitor that provides clear pictures, I highly recommend this model.
