Advantages: excellent price, very low (0.24) dot pitch, overall preformance
Disadvantages: small refresh rate at 1280x1024 (60Hz)
I have purchased the SM750S about 6 months ago and I can only have good words towards it. The principle reason I went for this monitor was the very low price in comparison with it's overall standings. I have also found some good and very good classifications regarding this model in various benchmarks. The main strong points of this model are: First of all the 0.24dp(!) which is unique at this price. And one more thing, it seems at many places you'll find the dp anywhere between 0.26-0.28. Don't get fooled, the prospect is in my hand and as far as i know the distance remains stable in time;) The 17" diagonal, which makes life so much easier Nice, simple design and a smooth good looking image with natural colors. Very easy OSD, with all you could ever need. Other characteristics Resolution: 1280x1024@60Hz (max) 1024x768@85Hz (recommended) Multilayer coating (anti-static & anti-reflection) Consumption: 90W (max) Weight: 15kg(just!) Certifications: TC0'99, MPRII, aso. Weak points: Perhaps the small 60Hz refresh rate at 1280x1024, but you probably won't need to work at this resolution anyway. Conclusion: You've had the best performance at this price some months ago. And now the good news: Samsung has recently released improved models at even lower prices. Take a look at SM753s (0.23 dp, 1280x1024@65Hz), the folower of the presented model, and 753DFX, 755DFX (with 0.20 dp, flat display and improved resolution).

I notice you have recently left a comment on my BT opinion, I don't really understand what you mean, is it possible you could e-mail me, then we can discuss further rather than clutter up each others comments sections.
Cheers, it would be greatly appreciated, as I feel there isa slight misunderstanding somewhere. |
