... bought my Samsung SyncMaster 550s in summer of 1999 and it is great. It has clear picture after 10 years of faithful use and I am using it on my spare computer since 2007. Samsung Syncmaster 793ST ... monitors are real work horses and cannot be beaten for reliability, good looks, size of screen and also versatility concerning placement and position with its adaptable base. The screen is very smooth and consistant - no flickering and colours are bright and intense. I have three of which the eldest is 2 years old, and have had no problems. The only irritating thing is the settings (brightness+size calibration) sits on the side of the monitor and is a bit ackward to set as there are 5 buttons and you cant see which on is for what. Samsung Syncmaster 550S ... bought this monitor, somewhere in 2001. That means I have had it for more than five years. It is good as new, very clear just like a newly bought monitor. When the saleslady told me about this brand, I was sceptical. Now, I believe her. This is a good buy! There are some buttons for adjusting the image and display. Samsung Syncmaster 1100P ... owned this monitor for almost 6 years, and it never once died, The picture quality for the first 4 and 1/2 years was superb, but started dropping around year 5, the image started to blurr slightly at the top right and top left corners, and the convergence was off a little, over all however, this monitor lasted me a long time, was also my first ever NEW monitor (had always got second hand ones up until this) I have since gone TFT and i have to say, that the CRT image quality is still far better.....
