Viewsonic PT775For anyone looking for beautifully rendered images in a larger display, the PT775 from ViewSonic is worth investigating. This is a fully-loaded 17-inch color monitor for professional graphics and desktop publishing with features that make work easier and viewing more pleasurable. The ViewSonic PT775 is built around the SonicTron aperture grill CRT, a vertically flat screen that produces images true in size and proportion corner to corner. Look at 16 inches of viewing area with a fine .25mm aperture grill pitch. With such little dot gap, even your high resolution images are brilliantly crisp and colorful. With the PT775, the Super Contrast screen is also impressive, treated with the ARAG process to eliminate glare and reflection. The PT775 supports a high resolution of 1600x1280 at a flicker-free 77Hz refresh rate. Patented OnView controls with onscreen menu let you easily customize your screen settings, such as brightness, contrast, trapezoid, horizontal and vertical positioning, and others. The ViewMatch function allows for precise adjustment of color temperature and strength to match displays to prints. The PT775 is PC and Macintosh compatible and is plug and play ready for easy setup and use under Windows 95. It has a universal power supply and meets Energy Star requirements for power management. Emissions are so low they comply with strict TCO '95 levels for safety, so long-term viewing is safer. Newest Review: ... this monitor will have had very nearly 9 years of heavy use. However, changing settings is quite straightforward and easy to do. I read in a review that the controls are small and am frankly puzzled by that comment. If I were wearing heavily insulated, thick mitts that might be the case, but not for these hands of mine. While LCD monitors now abound, and relatively cheaply now, I prefer viewing the image generated by a good CRT and its colour rendition, particularly for ... Read the complete review
