Philips 28PW6451 ... ve owned my Philips 28PW6451 for around 8 years and it s performing as good now as the day it was new. Sound and picture quality are both very good, it hooks-up okay to multimedia though I ve only got mine plugged-into an X-box 360 and Sony home theatre but the results considering it s low-level on the geek-score are quite impressive. For a budget CRT TV, and if you can find one of these in good condition, it really does offer incredible value provided your not too tech-savvy you won t be dissapointed! However, like a true victim of fashion, I ve capitulated under peer pressue to upgrade to the new HD world of LCD 1080p 30000:1 contrast resolution - whatever that is... Daewoo DTY-21G2 ... excellent CRT TV. Have been using is at least 3 days a week for 3 to 5 hours a day. The cover design has little or no flaws. No protruding parts that can break off. No grooves that are hard to reach when cleaning the cover. The image has remained sharp and with deformations. The on screen interfacedesign is basic and easy to understand without use of the manual (which defines good interface design!). A lot of the more detailed functions I never use. They re handy but a shut-off delay ...well, having it without needing can be fun too. One note though, the sensitivity of the PAL-B signal reception can cause problems when trying to hook up a computer with the CRT as ... Toshiba 14N21 ... was a cheap television which I purchased for £70 in 2002 from Argos, Derby. I ve had it for 6 years now and it is still going strong. Build quality is good as you would expect from Toshiba. The screen is not flat and the glass cathode ray tube inside the set makes the whole unit very heavy for a 14 inch "portable" television. Picture quality is good. The handset has a button which allows you to cyclethrough 4 presets to get a good image depending on ambient light conditions and your own preferance. Colours are bright and contrast is good. Audio is average. The speakers are fine - no distortion at loud volume - but not very bassy. I was surprised to find ...
