... problem when reviewing CRT televisions is you can t help but reflect and contrast them to what is todays technology vs very much old hat. However Sony manufactured some very fine CRT televisions and this is definitely one of them. So visually it doesn t make much of an impression, it s big buiky and as such needs a lot of room because it will take up a lot of the room. So on this basis it doesn t win any favours... Toshiba 32ZP18Q ... a newcomer to DOOYOO, I spent a considerable time browsing through several items. I took a nostalgic trip down the memory lane of CRT reviews, Toshiba 32zp18, in particular. This company s offerings were labelled picture frame , and, justifiably, received great reviews. This is well supported by dooyoo owners of those sets. For my part, I owned two such sets: picture frame 1 and picture frame 3,or32zp18. Regrettably, both sets developed faults which could not be corrected. Panasonic TX-32PL10D ... TV is excellent for those of you with that little bit extra to spend on their TV. It provides superb picture quality (obviously relying on reception) and sound and if you watch a fair bit a TV, which to be truthful the vast majority of people do these days, then it is well worth the investment. Having myself stepped up from a 11 year old 14" Toshiba to this was a godsend. For a while your home feels like a mini cinema, however after a month or so the amazment does fad as you get normalised to its quality. Sharp 32JF74 ... many programmes now being broadcast in windscreen format and most DVD?s also recorded in the same format, you may now be considering upgrading your dull black dusty box to a nice big wide silver box. If you're not willing to shell out thousands of pounds for the latest flat panel LCD and plasma screen, and lets face it they are expensive, then consider a pure flat CRT (cathode ray tube).
