Loewe Xelos 5270 ... bought our Xelos 3 years ago with a video. The video gave up the ghost after 14 months and the tube on the Xelos went wrong 2 months later. Lowe replaced the tube free (becuae even they agreed that it was a little premature) but we had to pay for labour (£80). It has just gone wrong again, and this time we will put it out of it's misery. My other two tellys are a 14 year old hitachi and a 13 year old Sony. Both of them still going strong. In short, if you want a product for a year, this is the telly for you. Loewe Aconda 9381 ... and sharpness 2. This will give a well balanced picture and prevent premature screen burn. Finally the real winner with this TV is how it can be upgraded and improved by changing circuit boards and chips when they become available just like a home PC. It won t become out dated too easily and with the exc ellent Loewe after service via their extensive web sight it s easy to keep informed of new upgrades. By the way it is a flat screen. Loewe Aconda 9381 ... looking TV with nice features, but there are some flaws. Before I even tell you about Loewe's new Aconda TV, I'm going to have a quick moan. Many DVD players come with Component Video (RGB) and S-video sockets on the back, but some of them don't have SCART. That means that if you want to plug a SCART-less DVD player into your TV you have to use the AV inputs on the front, and using a chunky cable means your telly and you end up with an unfamily-friendly mess.
