Philips 32PW9534:
... have a long standing reputation for quality, and this TV continues that tradition. It's a 32 inch 16:9 Widescreen using the latest Blackline D-Tube which does not suffer from the geometry problems that the smaller 28 inch S-Tube models have. It has a very flat, very square screen as used in all of Philips' top of the line Televisions. The screen is large and clear. Picture quality is sharp and w... Philips 28PW6515 ... model seem to be the terrible geometry and 'tea stains' in the corners. The dealer where i bought this from has been excellent in trying to help solve the problems but to no avail. It appears that there is a design fault on this model to do with the shielding - causing the problems already mentioned. I have now upgraded to the 32PW9525 - which has a different tube to the 6515 and i have to say is a fantastic tv..... with none of these faults! My advice would be to avoid the 6515 or even better... Philips 28PW9616 ... one thing this TV is not, is rubbish. It arrives in an absolutely huge box which had to enter the house via the patio doors and only with an inch or two to spare (I don?t know what inches are in euros!). The stand is more Ikea than MFI (as in earlier review) and while it is easy to assemble and does look good, you do feel it could still be better. A third shelf would be an obvious addition - especially as the TV has 4 scarts. The box has to be ripped open to get the TV out unless you have one of the cranes the factory put it in with. And you need 2 people to carefully place it onto the stand (it is shaped with a lip due to the centre speaker, and if you get it wr... Philips 28PW6515 ... The picture is better than I expected except there is sometimes a slight distortion on the right hand side when panning left to right. I only noticed when another reviewer did and I sometimes look for it. It could grate with some people. Otherwise the picture is very good. Since wrting the above almost 3 years ago the telly developed a faulty tube. For the first time I bought an insurance; Philips own 3 year tube insurance for £20. The tube starting flickering and I had it replaced under a parts only guarantee (I paid £78 labour). The new tube does not have as much distortion mentioned above as their is an adjustment kit now available. The repair shop said widescre...
