Advantages: Good picture, good connectivity, amazing sound
Disadvantages: None
I must have had this TV for maybe 7 or 8 years at least by now. So far no problems whatsoever.
It has some really good features. There are four setting for the TV brightness/contrast etc... and they are labelled as normal, dimmer, game and so on. Changing the contrast/brightness/colour in each setting, the TV will remember the setting automatically, then there is one button on the remote to change through the four settings. I for example, mainly use two settings, normal and one for when the lights are all out, dimmer where I have the brightness turned down a bit.
The TV has a timer off setting which again is easy to operate. In fact the whole TV is easy to operate. There is also an automatic switch on, but I hardly ever use this because you can only set it in half an hour chunks from now. You can't set it to come on at 8AM because the TV has no clock except for the teletext.
The teletext is quick and easy to operate and has fasttext.
The SCART socket on the back is very simple, plug a DVD player or something in and press play on the DVD - the TV automatically changes to the AV mode for the scart socket and when you press stop (or the player stops sending a signal to the TV) it automatically reverts back. I haven't connected a freeview box to this TV yet, but I imagine this would be really convenient.
There are also AV sockets on the front. I had a PlayStation in here at one point and the quality is fine, but there is no cover for these connections, so they are always on display.
The set was one of the early adopters of stereo for a small portable TV and the stereo is one of the best I have heard. I have a JVC surround sound and this TV is possibly as good as the 6 speaker set up. I couldn't believe how good it was when I first heard it. Better than my hifi.
There isn't a huge number of features, but everything works well. It is simple to use and has two connection sockets which is adaquate for most peoples use of a small TV.
Summary: Worth every penny spent on this item. Highly recommended.
