... "universal" to Bush televisions remote. I can only presume the keys are designed for fast text but since my television does not even have text they are largely made redundant. The keys are soft rubber and as such can be unresponsive without some definite pressing especially the volume and channel up/down keys. However, due to the oversized nature of the remote I would suggest this is ideal for the uncoordinated, partially sighted or simply large handed! The remote control has a flip top lid that opens up t...more

Bush 14971 TV 14 Internet TV: Bush irritates! (1104 words)

We purchased the Bush Internet Portable Television two years ago for the meagre sum of £99. We were only after a portable TV for the bedroom at the time but this was in the same price range as other models with the added feature of Internet access so as that rather irritating advert says, "Why pay the same for less?" The Bush Internet TV in packaged in a worryingly heavy box, dragging the television out of its annoying polystyrene carton you are confronted by what can only be described as a space age style portable television. In fact it looks like a deformed helmet for Neil Armstrong. This is re-enforced by its metallic silver, curved, bubble ...  Read the complete review

I bought this TV 1 year ago for the bedroom as my old Bush one just didn't cut the mustard anymore. Having had problems with the picture quality and channel name display on it I had to return the first one. As my second preference brand-wise, I wasnt disappointed. Number 1, the screen, is not FST is of the fuzziest Ive seen . Number 2, it has a good choice of picture adjustment options including sharpness. You cant read text on it from web pages and the internet runs at a snails pace. Number 3 it has a really useful CATS (Contrast Auto Tracking System) which dims the screen in the dark, and makes it brighter in light environments. ...  Read the complete review

Bush Internet service is an excellent and cheap way for people to have their first internet experience. You can either buy a set top box for the television of you can buy a television with the software pre- installed. It is a dream to set up, for the box you just bung into into the power socket, use the scart to attach the TV and shove the modem line into the phone socket. They even have a integral socket doubler so you can have your phone plugged in at the same time They cost about £120 for the TV (although ASDA seem to be doing a very cheap deal at the moment) and about £70 for the box. Make sure you get the decent ...  Read the complete review

Bush Internet TV It's cheap to run, knows all the best places and looks stunning to boot. Not the perfect date, but the Bush Internet TV. Man-alive, it's a 14-inch colour TV from Bush. Nothing particularly amazing about that, I hear you cry. Not the sort of thing that's usually T3's bag either, yet what about a 14-inch TV with a HTML browser built in? Now that's more like it. Bush's Internet TV is the sort of thing PC owners with kids have been praying to our good Lord above for. Tired of resorting to the cattle-prod to get the wee ones off their computer, parents can now sit them down in front of the TV, spark up a fat ...  Read the complete review

I am made up with this product but some people have said that it's not as good as a PC. Well, you would be mistaken to compare this product (either TV or Set Top Box) with a PC. It is NOT a computer and never professes to be, so you shouldn't compare it on those terms. In any case, it comes in at a fraction of the price of a new PC. Essentially, a one-off cost of £179.99 for the TV gives you TV, email & Internet. And £69.99 for the Set Top Box gives you email & Internet. Accessories are a printer for £69.99 and a larger cordless keyboard for £29.99. There are no monthly fees which means it just depends on how much you and when use it as to the cost of your phone  Read the complete review
